school wouldn’t be so bad if you didn’t have to wake up at the crack of satans ass

Have I ever said how much I love my little bro? No one cares less about cliches than him. He likes to have long hair, likes his long nails, wears skirts randomly, goes around in underwear randomly, loves to watch anime especially shonen and magical girl stuff, is often polite and calm when with friends, uses our stairs to do push ups, loves sports, isn´t interested in love, likes to talk a lot and knows more than people of my age, is the only person that I can talk about my OTPs, discusses with me who´s hot and who´s not, is always there to help you when you´re crying and loves to play video games. And he was the first person to ever tell me, that I am the strongest person for him and he learned most things from me. This child is a gift of heaven even though he has his moments, I just wish that someday I have a child like him. He´s definetly the best brother on this world!

Cops have been put on notice: Let the cameras roll.

Camera-shy cops across the city were reminded they can’t legally take action to stop someone from filming them while they’re on the beat, the Daily News has learned. The refresher was provided in a memo the chief of department’s office distributed to all police commands Wednesday.

“Members of the public are legally allowed to record police interactions,” the memo states. “Intentional interference such as blocking or obstructing cameras or ordering the person to cease constitutes censorship and also violates the First Amendment.”

Cops can take action if videographers and shutterbugs “interfere with police operations,” the memo notes.

spread this like wildfire

when you see abuse, take out your phone and film that shit.

Post it on youtube, send it to the news, let the whole world hear about it.

You don’t have to be any kind of official journalist. Anyone can do this. Never let them tell you differently.

Happy Hetalia Reminder for August 21st

happyhetaliareminders:

Latvia reminds you that being disadvantaged doesn’t make your life meaningless! Just because someone is higher up on the scale than you doesn’t mean you can’t do great things. Don’t ever doubt yourself because, no matter your size or circumstances, with work and ambition you can achieve your dreams.

A word of advice to trans women

Go to your nearest target. Buy a two pack of pushup bras (24$ for 2), and target’s bra inserts (12$). Then go to your nearest Walmart and buy the Vasserette Control Shapewear Panties (2.50 each), they do wonders for helping your tuck. There you go! You just saved yourself a lot of money, you can afford to buy enough to wear every day, and best of all you look fabulous. -@twidx

recs for trans women are so rare on tumblr!! spread this, people.

The point of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

the point of pouring a shit ton of ice water over yourself is because when one suffers from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) one of the effects the disease has is a numbness throughout the body, as well as struggling to breathe, and both these are meant to temporarily happen when doused in freezing water. It’s to raise awareness of what ALS feels like and encourage donations towards research and cures.

How do you explain to your parents that going to church and pray for you dead grandparents doesn´t have anything to do with respect? Like I love them and I also like the way some churches look, but  I don´t want to go there… and sit… and do this shit… It stresses me out…We already had the same fight last year and I can´t say no to my dad cause he will cry again… but I don´t want to go there…

Random fact about my family: They always like to use those horrible gender stereotypes. So in conclusion I´ll never be a woman, cause I dislike cleaning and cooking and hate it when other people are with me in the kitchen doing things in my way, and my brother is gay, cause he likes to have long finger nails to be able to defend himself against the other boys at school when they´re playing combat.

In the rare cases where actual psychological differences exist, they cannot be attributed to innate neurology alone. Everything in the brain is a combination of nature and nurture. Culture comes into play, which affects behavior, which then affects the brain. From birth (and even in the womb), a baby is labeled as a girl or boy and treated a certain way as a result. For example, a 2005 study of 386 birth announcements in Canadian newspapers showed that parents tend to say they’re “proud” when it’s a boy and “happy” when it’s a girl. Anne Fausto-Sterling, a biologist at Brown University, has shown that mothers talk to infant girls more than infant boys. This could partly explain why girls tend to have better language skills later on. “Some differences end up fairly entrenched in adult human beings,” Fausto-Sterling says. “But that doesn’t mean that you were born that way or that you were born destined to be that way.”
